Over the past 20 years, the number of cattle in Kazakhstan has fallen from 9.7 million to 6 million according to the Statistics Agency. Kazakhstan must rely on importing meat, milchigs even cattle to meet the domestic needs. The reasons for this situation are that the dominant individual farms, the inadequate feeds, the cattle’s low meat yield and cattle diseases.

In Kazakhstan’s case, non-specialized, under-productive small farms, which should be serving only their owners’ needs, became the main suppliers of meat products. And only 18% of the country’s cattle are found on larger-scale farms. Intensive cattle farming which reduces production cost and improves production property is universally adopted around the world. It is ideal for Kazakhstan to adopt the large-scale farming.

Intensive_Kazakhstan_Cattle_Farming.jpgKazakhstan has about 182.2million ha of natural pastures, of which only 42-43% is in use today. A large area of pastures have soil degradation and are not suitable for graze. The solution is to supply the nutritional compound feeds. And cattle’s low meat yield and disease have great relationships with the compound feed quality. Now feed pellets have been widely used for raising fowls and livestocks. Feed pellet is produced based on the nutrition needs of cattle and the nutrition value of feed ingredients, adopting scientific formula and mixing a variety of raw materials evenly according to a certain proportion, then with a series of processing to form the final pellets. It has balanced nutrition and conforms to cattle’s flavor so as to increase cattle’s intakes. The more feed intakes can improve the feed conversation rate and cattle’s meat yield. During the cattle farming cattle easily gets diseases such as aftosa, symptomatic anthrax, mad cow disease, ect. Frequently using antibiotics and veterinary drugs may increase production cost and make cattle produce drug resistance. The solutions are to take preventive measures and use ecological feed additives as antibiotics alternatives. Researches show that the oligosaccharide additive has the antibiotics function but it has no pollution and residue. It is considered as the ideal replacement of antibiotics. During pelleting process liquid nutritions and ecological feed additives can be added to improve cattle’s immune system to prevent diseases.
